Sales Specialist

ABB’s Electrification business is a leading provider of a full range of protection, control and measurement solutions - enabling safer and smarter electricity flow from substation to the point of consumption. We deliver products and systems designed to connect, protect and control electrical systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency and safety for equipment and personnel.

You will be working as a Sales Specialist and will be the part of Electrification Business area based in Dakar, Senegal.
In this role, you will be reporting to the functional Business Manager and will be responsible for handling the sales for electrification products in the assigned area.

Your responsibilities
• • Defining and implementing the channel sales strategy and budget and ensuring regular follow-up. Providing channel strategy input for the sales team, and for harmonizing the market sales and marketing plans.
• • Defining key targets (e.g. volume, prices, mix) and ensuring these are achieved for the channel in the specified market. Ensuring detailed business plans with regular follow up are in place.
• • Contributing in critical sales and key frame agreements negotiations. Supporting channel specialist in the offering and proposal process for channel partners.
• • Identifying and evaluating channel partners together with the channel specialist and authorizing them in coordination with the sales management team. Managing annual performance assessment activities for channel partners.
• • Coordinating sales and marketing efforts and pricing policies that require channel/segment partner participation. Ensuring appropriate communication, promotion and training activities in the channel/segment.
• • Supporting and driving strategic partnerships, developing personal relationships with partners, customers and other decision makers.
• • Monitoring client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams.
Identifying and managing risks relating to contract agreements and prices across customers/channels/segments.
• • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your background
• • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering.
• • Minimum 5 -10 years’ experience in sales for electrification products such as low voltage and medium voltage switchgears.
• • Strong leadership skills are required.
• • Results oriented Person.
• • Fluency in both spoken & written English & French language is a must.
