A - Ensure the delivery, quality and compliance of project deliverables in a timely manner.
• Supervise and support the team of technical experts in the production of deliverables and the implementation of project activities, by directly co-authoring deliverables and by co-facilitating courses and workshops.
• Define the technical approach of the project according to the institutional standards supervised by the head office, and have the technical approaches and strategies validated by the Project Manager.
• Participate in the reflection and development of strategies within the framework of the project (gender, child participation, advocacy and communication, monitoring and evaluation, learning, etc.)
• Ensure the continuity and transversal consistency of the technical approach of the project in the sectors concerned (justice, social work, defense and security forces, prison, civil society, education, health, child participation), at the level approaches, methodologies, positioning and deliverables.
• Participate in the planning of the project with regard to the technical aspects of implementation.
• Develop the terms of reference, planning and provisional budgets for activities, for validation by the Project Manager.
• Pilot the data collection system for monitoring / evaluation.
• Participate in the recruitment, coordinate and lead a team of national experts (social work, justice, defense and security forces).
B - Ensure coordination and representation with project partners.
• At the request of the Project Manager:
o Participate in meetings of the project's sectoral working groups and in external meetings (meetings with partners and other coordination groups).
o Support him in advocacy efforts.
C - Guarantee the technical quality of the project and the reporting
• Pilot the collection of the data necessary to feed the reports and work plans to be produced by the Project Manager.
• Develop the technical parts of internal and external activity reports.
• Supervise and finalize the drafting of reports produced by national experts, such as periodic activity reports, training reports and workshop reports.
• Develop a learning strategy, in coordination with the Project Manager and experts at headquarters.
D - Participate in internal coordination
• Ensure the consistency of actions, encourage the sharing of information and lessons learned and promote synergies within the intervention sectors.
• Actively participate in team meetings and all those requested by the Project Manager and experts at headquarters.
• Actively participate in the preparation and conduct of all work missions relevant to the implementation of the project, whether in Burkina Faso, in the sub-region or in Canada.
Requirements
• Master's degree or equivalent in the fields of social work, law, protection, human rights, gender equality or the fight against sexual violence
• At least five years of experience in management and technical expertise in capacity building, production of training tools, child participation, fight against sexual or gender-based violence against children, animation of workshops, training of trainers and strategic support.
• Extensive knowledge of state and civil institutions in Burkina Faso and of the Burkinabè child protection system.
• Proven experience in the humanitarian nexus, development and reconstruction
• Excellent analytical skills and ease in collecting, interpreting and synthesizing complex information
• Problem solving skills
• Proven experience in personnel management and monitoring of work plans
• Excellent command of spoken and written French
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint)
